HempConnect GmbH was founded on April 20th 2021. Together, we bring a total of 6 years of experience in the Hemp Industry and 4 years in Carbon Removal.

As the first Carbon Removal Startup in Germany that focusses 100% on Industrial Hemp, we received the Innofounder Grant for innovative early-stage Startups from the Innovationsstarter GmbH (IFB Hamburg), the Prototype Grant of the Farm Food Climate Challenge by Project Together, as well as a grant from Climate-KIC as part of Cohort 2 of the CLIM-Accelerator for Carbon Dioxide Removal. This allowed us to deep dive, conduct tests, trial and error, validate, work together with engineers and experts to answer the relevant questions and obtain valuable insights that determine what we can offer today.

Meanwhile, we gratefully serve as members in the committees for Sustainability as well as Research & Standards of the Federation of International Hemp Organizations (FIHO).
